Brass City Charter School

Barbara Ruggiero

Welcome to Brass City Charter School!

BCCS has the honor of being Waterbury’s only charter school. In addition, it is part of a national movement to bring innovation and accountability to our public school system.

Last year we became a fully rolled out pre-k through grade 8 school and celebrated our first eighth grade graduation.

At BCCS, we recognize that the number one factor impacting student achievement is teacher quality. We seek skilled, intelligent, warm, compassionate, and motivated individuals who share our Mission and Values.

Our teachers have dedicated time in their schedules several times per week for collaboration with grade team partners, and the Deans provide ongoing support and frequent feedback to teachers. New teachers participate in Connecticut’s TEAM (Teacher Education and Mentoring) program.

To apply for a teaching position, please submit a cover letter and resume to careers@brasscitycharter.org. Be sure to include your phone number, email address, and the position that you are seeking.
