CT Science Center expertise is basis of BCCS Science Program
This summer, Brass City Charter teachers spent a week attending professional development at the CT Science Center. Over the course of the week, teachers were exposed to the inquiry process as both learners and educators. A variety of activities, experiments, and group discussions led teachers to truly understand the characteristics of hands-on learning and teaching. In addition, teachers worked closely with the various science processing skills (observing, hypothesizing, interpreting, predicting, and questioning) and came to understand the importance of identifying the various skills within student actions.
Ongoing professional development is a priority at BCCS, which expects to deliver a top-quality educational experience to its students.
