Brass City Charter School provides a rigorous, demanding program. Student success is dependent on parent involvement.
Brass City Charter School accepts students from throughout the city of Waterbury. Bus transportation to all areas of the city is available. Students living outside Waterbury are not eligible to attend Brass City Charter School.
BCCS opened in September 2013 with 114 children in grades pre-K, K, and 1. In September 2021, we welcomed our first 8th graders, our first graduating class, and added a new class of 34 pre-K students.
Children are admitted to BCCS by lottery. If you are currently on the WAITLIST, you must reapply for the upcoming school year.

Families applying for admission to BCCS must be legal residents of the City of Waterbury.
There is no tuition at BCCS; students admitted to the school attend free of charge. Meals and snacks are included.
