Brass City Charter School

Applications for the 2026-27 Brass City Charter School lottery are now OPEN.


Please do not submit multiple applications for the same child. If you made a mistake on your application, you can email us at admissions@brasscitycharter.org to let us know what needs to be corrected.

Only children living in Waterbury may attend BCCS.

For PK, students must have birthdates on or before September 1, 2022. Please do not apply if your child is too young. We'll be happy to see your application in the future, when they are old enough.

For kindergarten, students must have birthdates on or before September 1, 2021. Do not apply for kindergarten if your child is too young. We do not accept early kindergarten admissions, even if you have a test from your preschool or from the local school district.

The lottery will be held on March 17, or the next scheduled school day if there is no school on March 17. Students will be entered in the lottery for the grade you enter on the application - that should be the grade they will be entering next fall, not the grade they are currently in.  

Only PK students will be admitted on lottery day. All other grades are currently full, so students applying for those grades will go on the waitlist in the order they have been selected in the lottery.

PK students selected for admission will be notified on lottery day. All others will be notified after the lottery of their waitlist position.
